Local Area Altitude Now Participants

“2010 Legacies Now” has announced Melissa Reed of Fort St. John and Christina Conrad of Fort Nelson have been invited to join a program, which provides opportunities for youth to gain leadership skills and make a difference in their community.
“Altitude Youth Experience”, now entering its second year, is part of “Spirit of BC”, a province-wide initiative supported by the Campbell government.
Melissa and Christina join 70 others from around the province who have been accepted into the program for 2008-09.
They will attend a three-day leadership retreat at Camp Summit in Squamish, beginning October 3rd and, they will become local Spirit of BC community committee members.
In Fort St. John the local committee is chaired by Sarah Tittemore, the cities Director of Marketing and Communications.
