The reported sighting of a black bear in the cities southeast sector has resulted in another public reminder from the Fort St. John RCMP.
A police report doesn’t specify when the bear was supposedly spotted, but it puts the sighting in the area of 90th Street and 85th Avenue, near Mathews Park. Police were unsuccessful in locating the bear, but they are again warning the public not to approach or try to feed bears.
City residents are also advised that at this time of the year it is especially important to secure all garbage cans and not to leave pet food outdoors.
