The first full day of the federal election campaign sees Conservative leader Stephen Harper in B-C, for the West Coast launch of the Tories bid for a majority government. Mr. Harper arrived in the province last night, to make an early-morning announcement, at a private home in Richmond, before travelling to Saskatchewan for a rally tonight, at a Regina-area farm. N-D-P leader Jack Layton is also in B-C today, making a speech in Vancouver this afternoon. The Liberals’ Stephane Dion spends the day in Montreal, while Green Party leader Elizabeth May is in Ottawa. Locally, Prince George Peace River MP Jay Hill, will be a Moose-FM radio Issues and Answers guest this morning following the nine o’clock news. The tory incumbent will be joined by Betty Beckering of the NDP and a Green party spokesperson. The Greens have yet to name a candidate in this constituency and, that is also true of the Liberals, who siting that fact, declined to participate on this morning program.
