Students in school district 60 returned to classes yesterday, and although it’s too early to determine definite numbers, officials says that enrollment has remained steady this year. Dave Sloan, Director of Instruction, speaks for the district.

The District initially predicted that enrollment would be lower this year, mirroring province-wide predictions of smaller enrollment numbers due to a decline of the number of school-aged children in the province. However, Sloan says that the validity of a number of enrollments are still in question.

Sloan expects it to be a number of weeks before the district will know exact enrollment numbers.
