The Dawson Creek RCMP is advising the public of an ongoing problem in that community.

In the recent weeks and months a number of members in the public are being approached at their homes by persons requesting money for various things. These people are asking for things like food, shelter, bus tickets and tow trucks. These are not the only items being asked for, just a few examples.

The RCMP woud like to discourage the public from contributing funds to these people and would ask that if you are approached, and asked for money, and feel unsafe, please contact the RCMP immediately.

The RCMP in Dawson are also responded to a number of complaints about recreational vehicles being stolen. They remind you to make sure you secure all recreational vehicles.
