Costco stores are warning their customers that some of their products may be contaminated the Listeria virus. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Costco Wholesale Canada issued a joint press release today warning that some of Costco’s Kirkland Signature brand platters may carry Listeria monocytogenes. The platters contain a deli meat recalled by Maple Leaf foods. Costco has issued a voluntary recall of any Kirkland Signature Croissant Platter and Kirkland Signature Meat and Cheese Platter products with best before dates up to and including August 29th. The affected products were sold at Costco stores nationwide. No illnesses have been reported as a result of eating the products. Costco is in the process of contacting members who purchased the platters from its stores.
