2 FSJ Athletes to participate in Paralympics

Two Fort St. John Athletes will participate in the upcoming Paralympic Games in Beijing.

We’ve already told you about swimmer Laura Jensen, the other athlete is Robert (Bo) Hedges, who will play on the Canadian Men’s Basketball Team. Robert’s family operates a farm up at Wonowon.

At the age of 13 Robert severed his spinal cord after falling out of a tree. This is the first time Robert has made the paralympic team and the entire team hopes to make it 3 gold medals in a row in Beijing.

Robert now calls Burnaby home, but still has family in the area. The Paralympic Games start September 7th.

For more on Robert read this recent article in the Vancouver Sun.
