Local area motorists headed south on the Alaska Highway are advised to be prepared for interrupted travel, but not where it was earlier reported.
The Dawson Creek RCMP confirms there was a mid-morning accident on Alaska Highway but it was not as serious as first thought.Latest reports from the scene, at about Mile 12 of the Alaska Highway, say traffic flow is pretty well back to normal.
However, we’ve now confirmed that Highway 2, south of Pouce Coupe is closed is in both directions following another accident.
That accident is about 4 km south of Pouce Coupe and RCMP say the road will be closed for the rest of the afternoon. A detour has been set up on the Old Edmonton Highway.
