Hearing planned for proposed Spectra Pipeline

The National Energy Board has announced a hearing location for Spectra Energy’s proposed South Peace Pipeline.

The new pipeline would carry gas from the "South Peace Area" south of Fort St. John and the Peace River to connect to Spectra’s existing McMahon processing plant, in Taylor, British Columbia. The project is expected to cost $95 million.

The hearing will take place on Tuesday August 26th at the Best Western in Dawson Creek. The hearing will begin at 9am. In addition to the hearing the NEB will also provide an information session for hearing participants to describe how the hearing will unfold. That will take place on Monday August 25th at 7pm, in the same location. For more on this project visit this website http://www.neb-one.gc.ca/clf-nsi/rthnb/nwsrls/2008/nwsrls02-eng.html
