Some Petro Canada Stations out of Gas

Some Petro Canada gas stations are running out of gas in B.C. and Alberta. About a dozen stations are dealing with the problem following a malfunction at the Petro Canada refinery in Edmonton.

The refinery was shut down last week and normally produces about 125,000 barrels a day.

Petro Canada says a station that is out of fuel will have all zeroes on its sign. Petro Canada will also offer Supreme gas at regular price where supplies of Regular have run out.

The company is working to ship fuel in from other parts of the country and internationally. Independent gas stations and those that offer service to essential services will get gasoline from Petro Canada first, before the company’s own sites.
