There have been some reports of power being restored to indiviuals, but about 2000 BC Hydro Customers are still without power in the Fort St. John area.
The outage is the result of a Transmission Circut failure, but the cause of the failure is still under investigation by BC Hydro.
BC Hydro is currently saying that power should be back on by 11pm tonight.
The areas affected by the outage are as follows.
East-West of Alaska Hwy, South of 262 RD, North of 240 RD – about 824 customers affected
South of 196 RD, North-East-West of Loop RD – about 460 customers affected
