THIS IS AN ALERT TO THE POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. MONITOR WEATHER CONDITIONS..LISTEN FOR UPDATED STATEMENTS. IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES TAKE IMMEDIATE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. RAINFALL WARNING FOR B.C. NORTH PEACE RIVER CONTINUED RAINFALL AMOUNTS IN THE 50 TO 80 MILLIMETRE RANGE ARE EXPECTED OVER SECTIONS OF THE CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST INTERIOR OVERNIGHT THROUGH MOST OF SUNDAY. Rainfall warning for
B.C. north Peace River issued
Rainfall amounts in the 50 to 80 millimetre range are expected over sections of the central and northeast interior overnight through most of Sunday.
This is a warning that significant rainfall is expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.
A low pressure trough will become established over the northeast interior this evening and linger through Sunday. This system is expected to give rain which will be heavy at times overnight and Sunday. Total rainfall forecast through Sunday is in the 50 to 80 millimetre range.
