Alberta has recorded a 41.9 million dollar sale, of oil and gas lease and exploration rights.
It is the province’s biggest August sale in at least ten years but, it was less than one third of its July sale of 173 million.
That in turn was less than one third of BC’s July sale, of 610 million.
It pushed the year-to-date total in this province past 1.5 billion dollars and, that is already a new full calendar-year record.
It is also more than double the year to-date-total in Alberta, although it is far short of that province’s calendar year record.
That is 3.5 billion and, it was set in 2006.
The August sale in BC is set for next Wednesday.
