The RCMP continues to hunt for the person or persons responsible for the theft of an undisclosed number of dynamite sticks last month in the South Peace.
During the overnight period from July 15th to 16th thieves broke open two locked magazines, in a remote wooded area near Chetwynd. Police have been hoping for assistance from the public but to date they have not received any tips.
They’re still taking public information calls at all local area RCMP detachments and at the toll-free Crime Stoppers number: 1-800-222-8477.
As reported earlier, each stick of dynamite stolen is 60 mm in length, weighs 2 kg, is in a red plastic casing marked "Dyno Vibrogel", and attached to a 65′ yellow cord.
Police remain concerned about the possibility of improper storage and/or transporation.
