The Fort St. John midget Blue Jays fastball team is off to a great start at the Western Canadian championships in Winnipeg.
The Blue Jays won their opening game on Friday morning, beating Alberta’s Calahoo Chiefs 11-4, and invoking the mercy rule after 5 innings.
The Jays played their second game of the day almost right away, but showed no signs of fatigue, beating Saskatchewan’s Shellbrook Thunder 11-9.
All accounts say the team is playing exceptionally well, and having a great time.
Stay tuned for more updates from Winnipeg.
