Three people are dead following a multi-vehicle traffic accident in Northern BC. It occurred about 11:30 yesterday morning east of Prince George on Highway 16, near Mount Robson Provincial Park.
The road was closed for over 9 hours by the RCMP, which has also confirmed two people were injured in the crash. One, believed to be a 3 year-old girl, has been listed in critical conditon and the other has non-life threatening injuries.
Latest reports indicate 6 vehicles were involved in the accident, including two motorcycles and a commercial transport unit. Four of the vehicles were parked in a rest area and police say all 3 people killed and the critically injured child were in one of them.
Names of all the victims are still being withheld.
RCMP Sergeant Pat McTiernan says the accident circumstances remain under investigation.

Police have ruled out weather conditions as a crash factor and they’re taking witness information at 1-800-222-8477.
