The Hudson’s Hope RCMP detachment has confirmed that Highway 29 to Hudson’s Hope has been reopened to single-lane alternating traffic, after last night’s single vehicle accident.

The detachment was first called to the scene at about 7:45 last night. Constable Tammy Howard says a semi-trailer rolled near Farrell Creek, causing the highway to be closed for a brief time. The semi’s driver was taken to the Fort St. John hospital for further examination.

Constable Howard says speed may have been a factor in the accident.

Howard says she expects the highway to be fully reopened at around 8:00 tonight.
