10 Digit Dialing Problems

It seems that the new 10 digit dialing in the 250 area code is causing a bit of trouble.

Several people in Prince George have complained that when dialling the ten digits using a cellphone, they still get a recorded message reminding them that the 250 prefix now applies to local calls.

Those who forget to dial 250 get the message twice, but in those cases the calls still go through, making the problem more of an nuisance than a major obstacle.

Bell Mobility spokesperson Linda Low says her company is looking into the matter.
