Gasoline prices are falling again in some parts of the country, following another two-day slide in crude oil prices of about $7 a barrel.
In the Greater Toronto Area, motorists are now paying $1.24 a litre. That’s more than $0.20 less than the common posted price in Fort St. John, which hasn’t budged since the current slide in crude prices began early last week.
In fact, it has been more than three weeks since the local common price was first posted at $1.454 per litre, as a result of the implementation of the Province’s carbon tax.
Crude oil prices closed yesterday below $125 a barrel and are now down more than $22 US since their July 11th peak above $147.
