Local Crop Conditions

Crops in the Peace Region are in bad shape and some have already been written off. That’s the word from a production insurance representative with the Provincial Agriculture and Lands Ministry.

Simon has also confirmed reports of crops being hit hard this year by grasshoppers…

He says it’s still too early to estimate the overall amount of the loss to local area producers but he expects virtually all of those with insurance will be putting in a claim.
