Nomadic Camp shutdown

The Workers’ Compensation Board of B.C. has confirmed that a camp facility in Wonowon has been shut down. The shutdown was first reported to us last week, though we were unable to confirm it until today.

The camp, run by Nomadic Camp Services Limited, was closed due to serious health and safety issues, including fire code non-compliance, smoking violations, electrical hazards, and building problems.

WCB has not told us when the camp will be re-inspected, though it has said the camp will remain closed until passing its inspections.
