There has been a reduction in wildfire activity this week, in the Prince George Fire Centre, which includes the Peace Liard region.
At last report late yesterday crews had responded to only six fires this week and, the largest one was estimated at only two hectares.
The fire danger rating across the centre ranges from very low to high, with the only area of concern northwest of Prince George, near Fort St. James and Vanderhoof.
As a result the Prince George Centre has sent two fire management specialists and one 20 person crew to the Southeast Fire Center.
It will also consider sending additional support in the coming weeks, as conditions and fire activity allow.
