Fatal Crash

A 47 year old Fort Nelson woman is dead, following a single vehicle crash yesterday, at mile 126 of the Alaska Highway.

The RCMP reports at about 3.30, a northbound vehicle went off the highway and rolled, after entering the right side ditch.

Two people, a man and woman, were taken to Fort St. John hospital but, released after treatment for minor injuries.

Lack of seat belt use is suspected to have been a contributing factor, in the death of the female passenger, who was in the back seat of the vehicle.

Police say her name is not being released and, cause of the crash is still under investigation.
