Property Tax Deadline

Fort St. John residents, who have not yet paid their property taxes, now face a penalty.

The deadline to pay without penalty was 4.30 yesterday afternoon.

City Hall is the only location where you can pay property taxes and, you can apply for your Home Owners Grant at the same time.

This year city property owners are facing, about a ten percent tax increase.

That adds about 120 dollars to the tax bill, for an average single family home assessed, at 279 thousand dollars.
