The Province has officially opened the new Provincial Permit Centre.
The Permit Centre is located in Dawson Creek and Transportation Minster Kevin Falcon says this Centre will allow the 23 commercial vehicle inspection stations to concentrate on their main responsiblity road safety.
The centre became responsible for issuing permits in the Northern and South Interior regions in 2007. Dawson Creek was choosen as the location for the centre because 44 percent of the permits issued in BC are from the Northern Region.
The Centre is open 7 days a week from 5am to 10pm.
