If you’re counting on an extended Canada Day holiday weekend, check with your boss, before you make any definitive plans.
Because Canada Day falls on a Tuesday this year employers are under no obligation to extend the weekend and, many workers could be on the job on Monday.
That noted York University marketing professor Richard Leblanc says employers, who reject a paid four day weekend, would do well to prepare for low Monday productivity.
However, others suggest workers who opt for low Monday productivity, would do well to prepare to be unemployed on Wednesday.
