The National Energy Board website shows August 26th as the hearing date, for a South Peace Spectra Energy pipeline project announced in February.
The company is proposing to expand its gathering facility in Northeast BC to handle about another 40 million cubic feet of gas per day.
The project is part of a third phase of expansion, which would carrygas from the Grizzly Valley area to Spectra’s Pine River Processing Plant near Chetywnd.
With NEB approval, about 17 kilometers of new pipeline will be laid parallel to Spectra’s existing lines and, it hopes the expansion will be operational by November.
