If you witnessed yesterday afternoon’s crash on the Rose Prairie Road, at the intersection with the West Bypass road and, haven’t done so yet, police would like to talk to you.
They’re taking calls at the local RCMP detachment number, 787-81-40, hoping to learn more about the collision, between a Ford F-150 pickup and a Grand Prix.
Initial investigation suggests the latter, collided head-on with the southbound pick-up, while attempting to pass a northbound vehicle, waiting to turn left onto the bypass road.
Nobody in the Grand Prix was seriously hurt but, police say an undisclosed number of occupants in the pickup suffered non-life threatening injuries.
They were taken to Fort St. John Hospital and, police closed the highway at the crash site just north of the city, for about an hour.
The accident occurred at about 4.30.
