Elementary School students in Fort St. John will hit the ice this Sunday, for the Jam Can Curling Bonspiel.
The annual event, organized by the Fort St. John Lions Club, has been running since 1972, as a way to introduce those from Kindergarten to grade seven to the game of curling.
Participants will hit the ice using homemade rocks, starting at 9 a.m.
Organizers are hoping to be able to give a prize package to each participant, and any local individuals or companies interested in contributing are asked to call Fort St. John Lions Club President Michael Stephenson, at (250) 785-1831.
Good luck to all curlers!
