Lido Theatre

Originally constructed as a movie theatre by local businessman and entrepreneur C.C. Brooks, The Lido opened in 1957, ushering in the enjoyment of many classic films up on the screen.  The Lido would be the only movie theatre in Fort St. John for the next 45 years. In 2002, the doors of The Lido were closed once the new Landmark Cinema was opened in town. It wasn’t until 2007, after five years of abandonment, that The Lido regained its joyous enthusiasm, energy and charm thanks to the vision and energy of local businessmen and entrepreneur, Brian Kirschner.
