On the way home to Charlie Lake I noticed a gathering of students and their parents throwing a “Redneck” pre-grad dinner/party for close friends and family. They had the entire front yard decorated with an old beat up Crown Victoria, a broken washer that held the pop, and a huge buffet that was homemade goodness.
Retired Principal Ernie, gave a speech to the grads about life, the past, and what it takes to grow into the mature young adults they have become. Ernie had some funny stories as well as touching anecdotes that even got me thinking. What a great group of kids, and thanks for inviting me in and letting me join the dinner party!!
Good Luck, gang on all your future endeavors!!
