Hedges makes the cut for 2013 Team Canada

Bo Hedges has once again earned the opportunity to represent Canada in the sport of Wheelchair Basketball. This week, the roster for the 2013 Team Canada Wheelchair Basketball club was released, with Wonowon-born raised Bo Hedges, once again making the cut to represent the red and white.

Hedges, along with 22 fellow athletes, were recently put through the grind of a selection camp, which was held from January 2-8 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The selection camp featured a total of 46 athletes, 22 men and 24 women, all attempting to earn the opportunity to represent their country in the sport they love.

There will be some familiar faces on this year’s team, as there are nine other returning players that went undefeated this past summer with Hedges , en route to winning a gold medal in the Wheelchair Basketball event at the 2012 Paralympic Games.

Hedges is currently keeping his skills sharp playing at the University of Alabama.
