Haugan claims third straight cycling victory

Chris Haugan made it lucky number three-in-a-row last night in Bike Club victories. Thursday evening, the Blizzard Bike Club raced in another ‘Toony’ Cyclo Cross race, where Haugan won the seven-lap, North Peace Secondary circuit with a time of 28:16.

The Haugan name flooded Thursday’s win column, as Nicki Haugan narrowly placed second in the event, finishing at 29:35, while Tate Haugan rounded out third place also finishing with a time of 29:35.

The race also featured a shortened two-lap distance, where Emily Shaw finished first at 13:52 and Brynn Shaw second with a time of 15:20.

This Sunday is a big race day for the Bike Club, as members will compete in the 18 Club Mountain Bike Championships. The race will be ridden on the Cactus Trails, and will begin at 2 p.m.
