U18 Strikers to compete in Tier 2 Provincials

After a big weekend win, the Fort St. John U18 Strikers are soon to be faced with a substantial challenge. On Saturday, Feb.18, the Fort St. John U18 boys’ Northern Strikers secured themselves a spot in the Tier 2 Provincial Championships, with a 7-1 defeat over the Grande Prairie Wolves at the Fort St. John Field House.

The win is a significant one for Fort St. John, as the U18 Strikers have yet to play at the Tier 2 level, usually competing for Provincials in the third tier.

The Strikers have one more tournament in hand before competing in Provincials. The team will travel to Edmonton, and then it’s off to Calgary for their first taste of the Tier 2 Provincial championships.

Provincials will take place the weekend of March 16-18.
