The weekend of Feb.24, the Fort St. John Field House will host a season ending soccer tournament for the FSJ Soccer Club

Field House to host end-of-season tournament

The FSJ Soccer Club will be wrapping up their season with an indoor tournament. The local soccer club will be holding the Indoor Season End tournament from Feb.24-26, which will be played at the FSJ Field House.

The tournament will involve teams from all age groups, who will each play at different times throughout the weekend. The younger ages will begin playing at 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb.24, with the older teams playing Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday.

The tournament will be played through two 20 minute halves, with each game including a three minute half-time.

With the conclusion of the indoor winter soccer season just around the corner, as of Wednesday, Feb.15, registration has officially been open for the 2012 spring league. Registration can be completed online through the league website and can also be done at this tournament.

As well, this Saturday, Feb.18, the Club’s U18 Northern Strikers play against the Grande Prairie Wolves in a play down for their spot in provincials, which is scheduled to take place mid-March.
