It was a scorcher out there yesterday as Fort St. John hit a high of 25.8 degrees at the airport weather station. That breaks the previous temperature record of 24 degrees set in 1990.
It’s possible that the Energetic City will break another record today with a Environment Canada projected high of 26 degrees. The record for May 6 is 27.2 degrees, set in 1966.
Dawson Creek also set a new record for May 5 with a high of 27.9 degrees. The previous high of 23.9 degrees was set in 1957.
It’s also likely the Mile 0 City will set another record today with a projected high of 28 degrees. The record for today currently stands at 24.4 degrees, set in 1953.
