Fort St. John Hospital boil advisory lifted

Northern Health says the lab reports have come back from the B.C. Centre for Disease Control, as well as a private lab, that show the water at both facilities is free of contaminants and safe for all purposes. What caused the negative result has not been explained, and where in the area it originated from is also still unknown.

"We won't speculate on the reason why the initial sample showed poor results," says Communications Officer Jonathon Dyck. "Based on the city's water results prior to the initial sample, the hospital's water was then free of any contamination."

Starting immediately, the water at the hospital is now safe to use for all purposes, including drinking and hand washing.
