Even with a revised Environment Canada total for the month, it looks like both the July and year-to-date local area precipitation totals will be well below average. There is no precipitation in today's forecast meaning the current total will be the July total.
Even with the addition of last Friday's 1.3 millimetres – not officially recorded until yesterday – it stands at only 22.1 millimetres, or 26.5 per cent of the monthly norm of 83.2.
It also leaves the year-to-date total at 258.2, 24.2 millimetres less than average for the first seven months of the calendar year.
