The city of Fort St. John recently received a proposal from New Line Skateparks, to undertake phase one of the new park, which includes development, public consultations and concept designs.
The company will complete the job for a reduced fee of $20,000, which according to council, is available within the City’s budget.
The reduced price comes as a result of the design firm already working within the region, currently working on projects in Grande Prairie and Valleyview.
The awarding of the work also came as a result of a proposal from New Line Skatepark, which illustrated considerable expertise and experience in this field.
