The new funding comes from the Northern Development Initiative Trust, which was applied for last week.
That's in addition to the $448,800 from the Ministry of Community, Sport, and Cultural Development announced in March, which created $111,000 in a loan from the City. This $30,000, and the $22,670 raised as of May 14, 2012, will help offset that amount.
The ultimate fundraising goal for the park is $600,000, and it's looking more and more likely that will become a reality. The final size of the project will depend on the amount of money raised.
The park will be located in a 25,000 square foot area at the corner of 93 Avenue and 93 Street.
