Grande Prairie-based Pomeroy Lodging LP, who owns the Pomeroy Hotel and the Chances Gaming Centre in Fort St. John, has purchased three more hotels, including the Stonebridge Hotel in Fort St. John.
PLLP has purchased the licensing rights to the Stonebridge brand, which includes the Stonebridge Grande Prairie. The company has also purchased the 200-room Grande Prairie Inn, which will be rebranded as a Pomeroy Hotel.
The three additional properties bring the Pomeroy's room total to 1,650.
Hotelier Magazine says the group wants to grow the Stonebridge brand throughout Western Canada. Its portfolio includes properties in Fort St. John and Dawson Creek as well as High Level, Clairmont, Manning and Grande Prairie in Alberta.
