Budnick trial confirmed for October

The trial for Sean Budnick, the man accused of trying to run over his ex-girlfriend, has been confirmed for October 11, 2011 at 9:30 a.m.

Lawyers met in court this afternoon to confirm the trial is ready to proceed.

Budnick is charged with attempted murder, unlawful confinement, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and uttering threats.

He will appear before a provincial court judge without a jury, by request of the defense.

Budnick allegedly tried to reverse over a 45 year old woman after she jumped out of his car on February 4, 2011.

He was arrested a week later near Fort St. John after a nation-wide search.
