PlayArts Preschool expanding

In addition to the existing morning class, there will now be a second afternoon playArts class, running from 1 – 3:30 p.m.

"As we review our first year (and the large wait list) the need for an additional program is clear," says Susan McGarvey, Coordinator for the artSpace program under which playArts is run. "So to meet those needs the Cultural Centre has approved expansion for September".

The playArts program gives children the opportunity to try a variety of different art forms, including music, dance, yoga, drama, sign language, and cooking.

Registration for both classes will be reduced from 20 to 18 children, in an effort to provide a better learning experience. Pre-registration opens May 1 for existing playArts students and their siblings. Waitlist registration opens May 22 for all those on the waitlist and public registration opens June 1, 2012.
