Last weekend of regular season for AAA Senior Flyers

Tonight, Friday, February 3, the team will travel to Grande Prairie to play the Athletics. This will be the second meeting of the two teams, the first of which Fort St. John dropped to GP in overtime 4-3. The boys enter the game with a 4-6-1 record, with 9 points in 11 games played. The Athletics are the top team in the NPHL West Division with 38 points in 21 games played.

With no time for rest, the Flyers will return home to play Saturday, February 4 at the North Peace Arena against the Spirit River Rangers. The two teams also met back in December, when the Rangers beat the Flyers 7-4. The Rangers sit second in the West with 26 points in 20 games played.

That will be it for the Flyers in the NPHL, as they opted out of the playoffs, along with Horse Lake, in order to compete in the Allan Cup.
